Any safe specie of Aconitum genus (Wolsbane, Monkshood, etc) to give as gift?
Okay, this is going to sound terribly nerdy, but here goes: My girlfriend is a die hard Harry Potter fan, and I haven't seen her in about a month, but she is coming back to our University in a week. Aconite / Wolfsbane are mentioned in the first book, so I was going to get her a flower of that genus when I finally saw her again, however, I am also a Biology / Pre-Medical major, and additionally, have taken a Medicinal Botany course, so I know how dangerous these plants are to not buy them willy nilly. I do not think she will eat the plant (which would give me a good reason to not worry about this anymore had she had a tendency to do so...), but she does have a small dog, which might if leaves fall or something. Is there any specie of that genus (or any plant that resembles it that is safe, she won't know the difference) that is safe for household...uh...decorating? I'd prefer to not be known as the Flower in.
