Can someone tell me all they know about high eye pressure?
Your eyes can be healthy while you have an elevated eye pressure but elevated eye pressure is only a risk factor for glaucoma which involves optic nerve damage and visual field loss. You can get glaucoma with normal IOP's (Inter Ocular Pressure). Usually an IOP pressure of above 22 would necessitate watching. If it becomes too high then drops may be prescribed to help control the pressure but that does not mean you have glaucoma. Same liquid in your eyes the same as when we cry? No. Vitreous fluid inside the eye is a jelly like fluid, the tear ducts are used to moisten the outside of the eye. Crying is an emotional response that releases more tears.
