Virgo Snake compatibility?

I am a Virgo Snake (29/08/1989) and my partner of three years is a Gemini Horse. I love the "down to earth" things in life, like setting up home, having jobs, marriage, children, visiting family etc, typical virgo. While my partner is all "up in the air" haha, he can comes up with crazy ideas and carries them through, he isn't as fussed about me as being "down to earth". He can be very stubborn, rebellious, very quick tempered. But he can cool down very quickly! When he wants something he goes for it and doesn't give up. I get on best with my own sign of Virgo (best friends with one), and also Gemini! I also had a childhood Gemini best friend. I love the childlike and fun qualities and I can talk to them for hours. I can talk to my partner for hours, and we have a very strong physical attraction to each-other (I have never been attracted to anyone else so much) but he is also my best friend. But every Gemini I have ever known (inc my brother) have two personalities, always. How to get a gemini horse (crazy people lol) to calm down a bit? (Virgo is Earth, Gemini is Air)
