Shouldnt troops & people in the 'defence' forces be responsible for the actions they are paid to carry out?

This question is mainly for those who "dont support the war, but support the troops". Its not as if they are mindless. Shouldnt they have a responsability to question their own actions? A pay cheque from the government shouldnt absolve you from doing what is clearly not right.Afterall, the Nazis & Germans didnt get away with it. Nor should they of. I dont support this war of terror, and because of that, I couldn't possibly support those who earn money from it by contributing & partaking in it.
