USN Reserve to transfering into another branch?

If you want to be in the Medical Field and want to be active duty, go with the Army. You would enlist as a 68W, but it all depends on your line scores and if they have openings. In order to change over to the Army you will have to contact your local recruiter, fill out a DA 4187 and a DD 368 for personal action and conditional release. Take these forms to your reserve unit and get them to release you. It must be signed by your commander. Then take these forms back to your recruiter and he will set up a time for you to go to MEPS. Your recruiter cannot guarentee that you will get 68W, so if the guidance counselors at MEPS do not offer that, would you be willing to go into something else, and then on your next re-enlistment, try to recl. But the first thing to do is to get the paperwork to get your release.
