What do you think of movies that do sequels (not prequels) after many years?

that could kinda go both ways. on one hand, the sequel needs to immediately follow the original movie so the storyline is still fresh in people's minds. but on the other hand, bringing out a sequel years after the original (especially a clic original) raises the anticipation level of the movie (i.e. the Terminator & Scream fanchises)
